Pilates Principles
All exercises with the Pilates repertoire are reliant on 6 basic principles:
lateral thoracic breathing
neutral spine
engagement of your pelvic floor
scapular stabilisation and movement
appropriate head placement
appropriate neck placement
These principle are introduced through simple exercises within the Pilates Principles class which must be completed and reviewed before you begin your Pilates programme.
